Hopes and Dreams

Welcome to the Hopes and Dreams page for Kindergarten!

  As we get ready for the new school year I want to meet with all of you and your child prior to the start of Kindergarten and talk to you about your hopes and dreams for our year together.  During this meeting time, I will be doing some literacy assessing to give you information about what your child understands in this area. 

You and your child/children will also be sharing your hope for Kindergarten as well.  This idea comes from Responsive Classroom.  This is a researched based program that focuses on the social, emotional and academic growth of all children and values each of these areas equally.  Our wonderful school uses the CARES ideas and principals in our work with children.  I have included a link for you to go to and check out.  The site describes the philosophy behind Responsive Classroom.

Our school is also part of a PBIS(  Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) initiative.  CLICK HERE to see the school PBIS blog.  We focus on 3 simple rules...
